Ethan
Hi Mrs. Konik!
I would ask Albert these questions:
About how many questions did you ask in your whole life?
Why didn't you take driving lessons?
Why did you ask questions?
How many siblings did you have?Children?
What did it feel like when you had a detention?
Did you have hobbies?
Did you play sports?
What did you do in your free time?
Did people ask you questions?
What did you want to know but nobody knew the correct answer?
It was nice to meet you.
Bye!!
Hi Ethan,
Wow, these are super questions! Choose several and investigate. I look forward to reading what you learned in your sleuthing!
Love, Mrs. Konik
Hi Mrs. Konik,
Here is my summery for the owl pellets:
1) Owl pellets are created by first an owl eating another organism in the same ecosystem (probably a vole). Then the flesh and muscle go into its stomach to be digested. Then the bones and fur go into a special stomach so they don't scrach the owl's intestines. Then the owl regurgitates or have the food be brought up to the mouth and out comes the pellet.
2) When I was dissecting my owl pellet, I was trying to find out which type of animal the owl ate.
3)We found the vole the most. I didn't find a complete skeleton because they may not eat the whole organism.
4) The habitat that the barn owl (apex predator) lives in usually is where the prey lives.
5)If the rodent population decreased, that whole biosphere would have too many of the rodents typical prey! The food chain in that community would also be destroyed because barn owls would be extinct because there wouldn't be enough to go around.
